Highcon launches new digital cutting kit for folded cartons
|
| Date 1 December 2011 |
Packaging equipment manufacturer Highcon has launched a new digital creasing and cutting machine for folded cartons.
The Israel-based firm said that it will launch its “revolutionary” kit, called the Highcon Euclid, at next year’s Drupa show, in Germany.
The company was founded in November 2009 by Aviv Ratzman and Michael Zimmer. They have worked in the digital print market, working initially with Indigo N.V. and latterly HP.
Highcon said its new kit uses precision laser optics and polymer technologies to transform cutting and creasing from an analogue to a digital workflow, “dramatically streamlining the finishing process”.
